Grand Day Out

A friendly, easy adventure ride into the country.

A small group averaging 10 riders of mixed genders.

Speed 20kph or less – distance 30 to 40kms.

Great downhills, great coffee and conversations.

Always stop for lunch at café, pub or byo (sandwich that is).

We usually meet at Flinders Street Station taking Public Transport (Metro or V/Line) to the start.

Rides are on Saturday once a month, finishing about 3pm, long before the footy turnout.

During the ride, corner markers and tail enders (or whips) are used so nobody gets lost, shared paths and quiet roads are typical.

Recent rides have included – Barwon River; Stony Point; Hanging Rock; Macedon Village; Sanctuary Lake; Belgrave to Mordialloc.

A serviceable bike, spare tube, reasonable fitness and a Myki card are required

The Club’s Adverse Weather policy is adopted for wet or extreme heat days. You need to be logged in to view the policy.
